Due to maternity leave Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position of VP Customers BtC, Business Area Customers & Solutions.

The new Business Unit Customers BtC NL is responsible for the complete value chain of our consumer customers, that way realising both the best possible value for our customers as well as the best value for Vattenfall. The VP Customers BtC is end-to-end responsible for marketing, sales and services of all products & services to the BtC customers in Vattenfall’s core market The Netherlands.

The new organisation is a proposal, pending co-determination, and changes may occur. The proposal for the new organisation is preliminary until the co-determination process has been finalised. Final management appointments will also be made after the co-determination process has been finalised.

Customers BtC as a newly to be formed organisation will consist of a fully integrated sales and services value chain. It is organised in various multidisciplinary customer journey teams focussed on the customer experience. It contributes a significant part of the overall EBIT target to the Business Area. To effectively steer the transition and manage this new high performance organisation in order to reach our extremely challenging and exciting goals Vattenfall needs the best management talent for this role we can find.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Manage the transition (change management) of the organization to the new setup.
• Marketing, sales and services of all products and services to the BtC customers in The
• Accountable for maximizing short and long term gross margin.
• Development of commercial market and business plans.
• Acquire new and win back lost customers on the basis of customer value.
• Accountable for creating value for customers, based on customer needs and expectations.
• You will have 14 direct reports and will be overall responsible for approx. 830 employees.
• Responsible for the following KPI’s EBIT, OPEX, Gross Margin, NPS/CES, Contract base, Cost2Serve, Cost2Acquire, Cost2Retain, Employee Satisfaction, new business development
• Increase customer satisfaction.
• Identify and prioritize product development needs.
• Responsible for churn prevention.
• Achieve sales volumes, design sales/offer propositions and campaigns.
• Define the price strategy and set the price towards the market.
• Accountable for media relations/PR within the BU, including communication platforms
and policies as well as stakeholder communication.
• Commercial market management budget.
• Work on new business solutions and developments for the future position of Nuon/Vattenfall in the Dutch energy market
• Be a valuable and active member of the management team of the BA Customers & Solutions.
• Responsible for regulatory compliance and development for customer activities in the BtC segment.
• Accountable for all market segment strategies to reach the position of market leader in The Netherlands.

You are proven skilled in dealing with strategic, highly complex issues, problems and challenges.

Besides this your profile matches the following:

• You have a relevant University degree.
• You have extensive experience as a leader in a large (international) organization.
• Your command of Dutch and English is strong, both verbally and written.
• Extensive experience in the Energy industry.
• Functional experience – proven track record in senior management positions,
background in marketing/services/sales/digital and strong insights into consumer markets
• International – experience working for an international complex organization.
• Leadership – experience in managing a larger sales and/or marketing team, worked
successfully in similar roles.
